High protein banana bread recipe
Since getting enough protein is essential for a healthy diet and weight loss, getting creative with recipes is a must. Sweet and moist on the inside, this recipe for high protein banana bread is as delicious as it is nutritious. Eat it with almond butter or on its own for a traditional treat.

Ingredients: 
  • 1 tablespoon flaxseed meal
  • 3 tablespoons water
  • 3 ripe bananas
  • 1/2 cup vanilla soy yogurt
  • 2/3 cup organic sugar
  • 2 tablespoons canola oil
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 teaspoon almond extract
  • 1 cup white whole wheat flour
  • 2 scoops of BioHealth's Vanilla Precision ISO 
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 10 raw almonds, chopped

Directions:

  • Preheat oven to 350°F.
  • Lightly spray a 9-inch pan
  • In a small mixing bowl, mix the flaxseed meal and water together, and set aside.
  • In a medium-sized bowl, mash the bananas with a fork. Add the yogurt, sugar, oil, vanilla, and almond extract, and mix until combined. Add the flaxseed meal and water mixture.
  • In a separate bowl, mix together the flour, protein powder, baking soda, and salt.
  • Stir that into the banana mixture.
  • Pour into the greased pan and top with chopped almonds.
  • Bake for 50 to 60 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the middle comes out dry.
