5 New Ways to Use Protein

Protein powder is near and dear to our hearts here. Of course, we make it! Protein powder is not only great for helping build muscle and recovery, but a convenient way to get this vital nutrient in your diet.  Since people are looking at protein similar to flour or milk there are so many uses for protein powder other than just chugging it down with water. Here are our top 5 easy protein powder uses to switch up your routine.

Luckily, if you have a sweet tooth but want a high protein diet, you can continue on baking without sacrifice. With the power of the internet, you can easily learn how to make healthy baking recipes with protein powder. Before you start, make sure you read up on your protein baking basics to ensure you’re prepped for protein recipe perfection.

Vanilla Protein Cake

1. No Bake Vanilla Protein Cake – Seriously, you can eat cake!

This no bake vanilla protein cake recipe literally takes 10 minutes to make and doesn’t require an oven or a mixer. That’s a win-win in our book. Tip: Use our Precision ISO Protein In Vanilla for amazing flavor.

Protein Latte

2. Protein Coffee & Lattes

We’re big coffee drinkers over here, so adding protein powder to our coffee has always been something we love to experiment with. We like to use our Precision Café Coffee Infused Protein Powder – Mochaccino for this one for an extra kick & 28g of protein.

Directions:

Add 1 scoop of Precision Café Coffee Infused Protein Powder Mochaccino, ¾ cup of unsweetened almond milk and 1/3 cup of strong coffee (or espresso) into a magic bullet or ninja blender until it’s smooth and frothy. (be careful upon opening if you’re serving extra hot!)

Protein Packed Soups

3. Protein Packed Soups

This one seems a bit off the beaten path but adding a scoop of unflavored protein powder to any broth you use in soups add extra thickness with all the nutrient benefits. Start with adding a half a scoop of unflavored protein powder and stir with a whisk to ensure the soup is clump free.

Protein Pancakes

4. Protein Pancakes

If you’re like me, you love carbs, but they don’t exactly fit into my daily diet. My favorite breakfast in the morning involves pancakes but that doesn’t mean I have to go into a carb coma satiating my cravings. You can use protein powder to make low carb, protein packed pancakes.

Directions: Use 1 banana, 2 eggs, 1 teaspoon of baking powder and 1-2 scoops of your favorite protein powder. My favorite to use is our Precision Blend Chocolate Milk Protein for sustained energy into the afternoon.

5. Protein Energy Bites

Protein powder energy bites are super easy to make, easy to carry with you on the go for extra energy and there’s a variety of great protein bites recipes out there to keep it interesting. Not only are they delicious, but they save time in the kitchen and curb your appetite on the go.

What protein powder uses have you found that work for your lifestyle?
